Today, a new stage of prisoner exchange took place in Ukraine, resulting in the release of a group of seriously ill defenders, in accordance with agreements made in Istanbul.

The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, under the directive of the President of Ukraine, has freed a group of servicemen from Russian captivity who are facing serious health issues.

The returning soldiers include members of various branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, such as the Naval Forces and Territorial Defense Forces.

Each released defender has severe medical diagnoses, including significant weight loss, chronic diseases, and other complications arising from their captivity.

Most of them were held for over three years, with many captured during the defense of Mariupol.

All of the released individuals are from the ranks of junior and sergeant personnel.

They have served in various regions, including Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kherson oblasts, among others.

The freed defenders will undergo medical examinations, receive necessary rehabilitation assistance, and be compensated for the duration of their captivity.

The Coordination Headquarters continues to work on the next stage of the prisoner exchange.

We are working to bring everyone home!

Glory to Ukraine!
