On June 20, cultural heritage sites in Odesa were impacted by a night drone strike from Russia.

This was reported by the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine.

Significant damage occurred to a local architectural monument — a residential complex located at 4 Seminar Street. The building, constructed between 1912 and 1913 according to architect Y.M. Ponomarenko's design, suffered from a fire caused by a drone impact.

Additionally, a historical building from the early 20th century — a former brewery on French Boulevard — was damaged. The shockwave shattered the windows and doors of this structure.

Russian strikes continue to ravage the historical memory of Ukrainian cities, their cultural identity, and architectural heritage.

We are documenting all instances of crimes against cultural heritage for future international investigations and accountability of the aggressor.
