As a result of a Russian strike on a Ukrainian Navy ship, two crew members have died, and several are considered missing. This was reported by the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk.
In a morning news broadcast on August 29, he stated, "Unfortunately, we have confirmed the death of a second crew member. Search and rescue operations are still underway. We are committed to finding all our missing personnel – there are several. Additionally, a few servicemen have been injured, but most of the crew has remained safe since yesterday."
The host noted that enemy media claimed the ship had sunk, but Pletenchuk mentioned that he cannot currently confirm that information.
