On January 30, 2025, the city stage of the XXIV All-Ukrainian Student Creativity Contest titled “Let’s Unite, My Brothers!” was held in Odesa for students in grades 5-11 from general secondary education institutions in the categories of “Literature” and “History of Ukraine and State Building”.
This year, the epigraph for the creative works was taken from the words of Taras Shevchenko: “Our thought, our song will not die, will not perish… Here, people, is our glory, Glory of Ukraine!”, with the theme being “Creating for the Future”.
A total of 63 students from grades 6-11 of municipal schools in the Odesa city territorial community participated in the contest.
The jury noted that all works were infused with patriotism and pride for Ukraine's heroic past and present. The authors revealed the processes of development and renewal of various aspects of national culture and their role in the struggle for the independence of the Ukrainian state, preserving the positive achievements of past years.
Particular attention was given to the contributions of regional prominent artists and scholars in the development of Ukraine's cultural life.
In the “History of Ukraine and State Building” category, the jury highlighted the logical presentation of material, the research character, and the ability of participants to work with historical sources. In the “Literature” category, students provided a variety of creative works (essays, stories, poetry).
Based on the jury's decision at the city stage of the XXIV All-Ukrainian Student Creativity Contest, winners were determined and awarded diplomas from the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa City Council. Teachers who prepared the winners received acknowledgments.
