In January of this year, teachers involved in the newly introduced «Ukraine Defense» course participated in a practical training seminar focused on shooting skills, hosted by the «Stvol» sporting club.

During the seminar, educators received essential theoretical and practical knowledge regarding the use of various firearms from professional instructors.

The training enhanced participants' understanding of safety, teaching methods for marksmanship, and handling of specialized equipment and combat weapons.

The event was organized by the Odesa City Center for Military-Patriotic Education with support from the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa City Council.

An open lesson on the «Ukraine Defense» subject was conducted at Odesa Lyceum No. 1 named after A. P. Bistrina, led by the esteemed educator Oleg Denisov.

The new model curriculum «Ukraine Defense. Integrated Course» aims at fostering patriotic consciousness and practical skills for preserving life. It provides a unified content for all students, ensuring equal opportunities in acquiring essential skills.

Thanks to the curriculum update, high school students will be able to:

- learn about different types of drones and their applications;

- provide first aid in combat situations;

- shoot with firearms;

- understand what information warfare is and how to avoid hostile informational and psychological operations (IPSO).
