The Ukrainian Veterans Fund, in collaboration with the recruiting platform Lobby X and IT company SoftServe, is pleased to announce the launch of a free course "DevOps Fundamentals" for veterans, their families, and the families of fallen soldiers.
The course covers:
- basics of Git and GitHub;
- introduction to Linux, its file system, and administrative tasks;
- scripting languages Bash and PowerShell;
- network support concepts, including protocols, IP addresses, subnetting, and routing;
- working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions;
- an overview of IaaS and PaaS cloud platforms;
- working with AWS, Azure, and GCP services;
- understanding the role of artifacts in DevOps;
- developing soft skills needed in the IT industry;
- practical job search tips and resume preparation.
The knowledge gained during the course will help participants master the fundamentals of DevOps, work with databases, configure environments, and optimize project deployment processes. This will enable future DevOps specialists to implement changes and automate processes at every stage of development.
Classes will take place twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6 PM to 8 PM via Zoom. Experienced mentors will provide theoretical knowledge and guide practical assignments while checking homework.
Recorded lectures will be available for those unable to join live.
The course starts on February 3rd and lasts for 9 weeks.
Requirements for participation:
a laptop, internet access, and time for homework.
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate.

Due to limited seating, registrants will need to complete a small test on basic knowledge and create an account on Discord.
