The 25th anniversary exhibition of cutting-edge technologies, CEATEC-2024, took place in the Japanese city of Chiba.

This year, Ukrainian companies once again presented their innovative solutions at this major international event in Asia. The Odesa City Council delegation showcased Ukrainian IT innovations at a unified booth. The director of the "Grant Office "Odesa 5T," Tamila Afanasieva, introduced visitors to the achievements of the IT Family Odesa cluster and the Faculty of Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, and Computer Science at the International Humanities University.

Additionally, the Odesa delegation participated in the 13th International Asia Smart City Conference held in sister city Yokohama. The conference brought together leading professionals and leaders in the field of technological development. During their visit to Japan, the delegation had the opportunity to meet with the mayor of Yokohama, city council representatives, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan.

Negotiations were also held with Japanese representatives, including the Yokohama municipality, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the UN Development Programme office. Priority infrastructure projects for Odesa were discussed in collaboration with Japanese technology companies such as Nippon Koei, JFE Engineering, and Sansei. Concurrently, meetings took place with members of the Japanese National Commission for UNESCO, where both sides exchanged experiences on preserving cultural heritage.

Representatives of Japanese society expressed solidarity with the people of Ukraine in their struggle for freedom and their openness to collaborate with the Odesa community. Together, we are bringing Victory closer!
