On the night of July 28, the Ukrainian air defense system efficiently shot down 309 out of 324 Russian drones, along with two X-101 cruise missiles.
This was reported by the Command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their Facebook page.
The enemy executed an attack utilizing 331 air assault means, which included 324 drones, 4 cruise missiles, and 3 ballistic missiles.
The attack was launched from the regions of Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Shatalovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation, utilizing 324 Shahed-type drones and various imitation drones.
Four X-101 cruise missiles were launched from the airspace of the Saratov region, while three X-47 M2 "Kinzhal" ballistic missiles were fired from the Lipetsk region.
The main target of the strike was located in Staro-Konstantinov in the Khmelnytskyi region.
The defense involved aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 09:30, preliminary reports indicate that 311 enemy air assault means were destroyed or suppressed by the air defense: 309 drones and two X-101 cruise missiles.
Two missiles of different types and 15 drones were recorded hitting three locations, with debris from the downed drones falling in various areas.
"The X-47 M2 ballistic missiles did not reach their targets!" - emphasized the Air Forces.
