Yesterday, on October 8, 2024, after an extensive renovation, the Municipal Enterprise «Service Center» officially reopened the well located at Krymsky Boulevard.

The construction of this well began in 2002. Currently, the well at Krymsky Boulevard is the only one serving a large population in the Peresyp district of Odessa. On average, it provides about 12-14 cubic meters of water daily, operating from 08:00 to 20:00.

The well was closed for renovation on December 1, 2023.

In early March of this year, to ensure that residents had access to free drinking water, a temporary water distribution point was set up outside the well. This arrangement lasted until October 8.

According to the Municipal Enterprise «Service Center», the renovation involved drilling a new artesian well, installing water treatment equipment, and laying a new pipeline from the well to the technical facility of the well complex. Additionally, specialists conducted commissioning works for standard and alternative power supply.

In March of this year, during a meeting at the Peresyp District Administration, residents positively evaluated and supported the initiative to build another well in the Peresyp district, specifically in the park area near the «Zoryany» cinema. Construction of the new well has already begun.

It is important to note that the new well will not only serve as a source of clean drinking water but will also act as an alternative water supply source in case of emergencies during a state of war.
