Every year in Ukraine, from November 25 to December 10, the campaign «16 Days Against Violence» is held.
The purpose of this campaign is to raise awareness among youth about domestic violence, human trafficking, and the protection of women's and children's rights. Various events are planned in Odessa for school students.
From November to December, students in Odessa will participate in activities dedicated to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, a city video contest against violence, and a flash mob titled «Humanity Begins with Kindness» on Facebook.
Schools will host thematic educational hours, exhibitions of children's drawings under the hashtag «#HappyFamilyinOdessa», workshops, training sessions, quests, and other interactive activities.
For high school parliament members in Odessa, interactive games on creating a safety circle and cooperation with the police against violence will be organized.
During the «16 Days Against Violence» campaign, the results of the city competition «How I Understand Gender» will also be announced.
Teachers will participate in psychology film club discussions and seminars on collaboration with organizations that prevent violence.
Topics related to the prevention of domestic violence and bullying in schools will be discussed during training sessions with psychological service specialists.
With the participation of representatives from governmental and non-governmental organizations, informational parent sessions and consultations titled «Family – A Space Without Violence» will be held.
