On October 31, 2024, a city council meeting was held addressing issues related to internally displaced persons.

The discussion revolved around the development of small and medium-sized enterprises among the displaced individuals.

Prospective entrepreneurs from the internally displaced population were provided with information on:

- the procedure for registering legal entities and individual entrepreneurs: key principles, required documents, and recommendations;

- the taxation system for business entities: options available for small and micro businesses;

- loan programs from «Ukreximbank»;

- loan programs from «Oschadbank»;

- opportunities for recovery and expansion through market access and economic transformations from the «Caritas Odesa UGCC» Charity Fund;

- assistance for entrepreneurs in establishing and growing their businesses;

- support programs for business entities in the city of Odesa.

After the meeting, participants engaged with service providers who informed them about opportunities for grants, compensation for employing displaced persons, and provided contacts for further profitable business promotion.

Attendees included representatives from the Department of Labor and Social Policy, the Department of Economic Development, the State Registration Administration of the Odesa City Council, the Main Office of the State Tax Service in the Odesa region, the Odesa branch of the Regional Employment Center, Ukreximbank, Oschadbank, the Diya Business Support Center in Odesa, the «Caritas Odesa UGCC» Charity Fund, and internally displaced persons.
