Last week, a significant blood donation campaign was held in Odesa, supported by the project «Donor Odesa» and the administration of the Children's City Clinical Hospital No. 3. The goal was to gather blood donations for the wounded defenders of Ukraine. Medical staff from the Odesa Regional Blood Transfusion Station facilitated the mobile donation units.

Over two days, hospital staff from the Kyiv and Peresyp districts donated blood. On the second day, employees from the Primary Health Care Center No. 5 and the Consultative Diagnostic Center No. 29 also participated. In total, around 50 donors contributed to this noble cause, saving dozens of lives.

The demand for donor blood has remained extremely high since the onset of the full-scale war, as it is vital for saving both military and civilian patients.

Any willing teams can organize a mobile blood donation at their own premises. To do this, you need to:

1. Form a group of 25-50 willing donors. Ensure that potential donors do not have absolute contraindications or temporary restrictions for blood donation.
2. Coordinate a convenient date by calling 0668422387 or messaging on Telegram @donorodesa.
3. The day before donating blood, you need to follow certain dietary restrictions and avoid specific medications.
