Under the supervision of the Malinovsky District Prosecutor's Office in Odessa, a 38-year-old man has been charged with distributing pornography and sexual crimes against a minor (Part 2 of Article 301, Part 3 of Article 156-1, and Parts 4, 6 of Article 153 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the suspect found a 10-year-old girl's account on the messenger «Telegram». Aware of her age, he pretended to be a 12-year-old boy to gain her trust and initiate communication.

During their conversation, he sent her pornographic images and videos, and, manipulating her emotions to keep their communication secret from her parents, he attempted to persuade her to meet.

After obtaining the victim's consent, the perpetrator arranged three meetings in remote, deserted locations. Taking advantage of her age, which limited her ability to resist both physically and mentally, he repeatedly committed sexual violence against her.

It has also been established that a similar case against him is currently being heard in the Uman District Court of Cherkasy Oblast.

Currently, at the request of the prosecution, the suspect has been placed in custody as a preventive measure.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by detectives of the VPU No. 1 of the Main Department of the National Police in the Odessa region.
