The Friedehorst Foundation, based in Bremen, is renowned for its long-standing commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities of all ages, as well as the elderly. This organization exemplifies a comprehensive approach to social services, adaptation, and rehabilitation.
During our visit, we learned about the operations of various divisions within the foundation, particularly those specializing in care for individuals with disabilities, rehabilitation programs for children and adults, and modern support methods for the elderly.
For the Odesa region, this experience is incredibly valuable as we aim to develop our area towards accessibility and create conditions for the social integration of all population categories. We discussed the possibilities of collaboration in terms of experience exchange, implementation of modern rehabilitation technologies, and the creation of training programs for specialists working with individuals with disabilities.
Particular attention was given to the development of long-term strategies to support socially vulnerable groups that could be adapted to our regional context.
We express our gratitude to our colleagues at Friedehorst for their openness and willingness to share their insights. Such collaboration is a crucial step toward improving the quality of life for residents of the Odesa region.
