On April 4, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made a decision to enhance the functions of the Digital Ministry, which will positively influence the country's innovation landscape.

This was announced by Taras Melnychuk, the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada.

According to the new amendments, the Digital Ministry:

actively promotes the development of technologies in robotics, semiconductors, and domestic production of unmanned systems;

defines key development directions and provides the legal framework;

ensures funding for companies engaged in robotics and innovative technology development;

coordinates research and testing of prototypes;

creates the necessary infrastructure for testing innovative technologies;

supports the advancement of artificial intelligence in Ukraine.

The Cabinet of Ministers has transferred the regulation of gambling activities from the Gambling Business Commission (KRAIL) to the Digital Ministry.
