Misplacing your driver's documents is an unfortunate event that can happen to anyone, especially in times of instability. What should you do if you’ve lost your vehicle registration certificate?
First and foremost, stay calm. Driver's documents can be quickly restored at any regional service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. If you cannot visit the center in person, you can authorize someone else via a power of attorney.
To restore your documents, prepare the following documents:
a passport with a residence registration (or an ID card);
a copy of the taxpayer identification number certificate;
a police report (if the documents were stolen).
The approximate cost is 350 UAH for the administrative service and 540 UAH for the new certificate. The owner can choose a new license plate or keep the existing one. All procedures are completed on the same day of application. It is also possible to order an electronic registration certificate without a plastic form.
For more detailed information, contact the website of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Please note that services are provided by prior registration in the E-Record system or through a terminal in the service center.
Consultations can be obtained by calling (044) 290-19-88 or through the social media pages of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Answers to frequently asked questions can be found on the website.
