Ukrenergo has refuted rumors regarding the possible return of power outages.

This was confirmed by the company's press service.

"In recent days, some media outlets and Telegram channels have begun circulating news with clickbait headlines about potential outages. We want to clarify that this information is inaccurate. Currently, no restrictions are being imposed," the statement reads.

However, the company emphasized the importance of rational energy consumption as repair works on energy facilities continue following Russian attacks. Meanwhile, due to the cold weather across Ukraine, energy consumption has significantly increased as more consumers are turning on fireplaces, heaters, and air conditioners.

Additionally, with the heating season coming to an end, some generation facilities that cannot produce electricity independently of thermal generation have ceased operations since last week.

The situation is further complicated by cloudy weather in parts of Ukraine, which reduces the efficiency of solar power plants.

Therefore, Ukrenergo urges consumers to limit the use of high-power electrical devices and avoid turning on multiple such devices simultaneously from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

As a reminder:

In Ukraine, as a result of significant temperature drops, electricity consumption as of the morning of April 7 exceeded the previous working day's level by 16%.

On April 8, electricity consumption continued to remain high. As of 9:30 AM, the consumption level was 2.3% higher than at the same time the previous day—on Monday.
