The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kyper, shared updates during a television broadcast.

He stated that a directive to begin preparations for the beaches has already been signed. Officials are collaborating with the military and emergency services. The main goal is to assess shelter availability, ensure areas are safe from naval mines, and identify zones suitable for swimming.

“There’s no point in restricting people. They need to relax, get their vitamin D, and enjoy some psychological relief. Odesa is alive, which is important not just for locals but for the entire country,” Kyper emphasized.

He also mentioned that proper beach preparation is crucial for the tourism development in Odesa.
