On the anniversary of the tragic events of May 2, traffic was restricted on the streets near Kulikovo Field in Odesa. It is important to remember that in 2014, 46 people lost their lives in a fire at the Trade Union House located there (two others were shot on the streets of Odesa earlier that same day).

At that time, the city faced mass unrest provoked by pro-Russian groups. They attacked a march of football fans and Ukrainian activists, resulting in the deaths of two participants.

Consequently, large-scale clashes ensued, culminating in the fire at the Trade Union House on Kulikovo Field.
