Odesa is actively preparing for the upcoming summer season, with plans to open twice as many beaches as last year.

This was announced by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper, during a national telethon.

Last year, about 20 beaches were opened; this year we plan to open around 48, — he noted.

According to the head of the administration, the city continues to strengthen safety measures in crowded areas. Currently, Odesa has equipped 2,660 shelters.

Almost all gathering places in Odesa are provided with shelters. The main issue is to ensure that people actually use them, — emphasized Kiper.

He also commented on the situation in the ports and the operation of the grain corridor. According to Oleg Kiper, since the grain corridor began operating, about 5,000 vessels have entered and exited the ports of Odesa.

We have restored the volumes that existed before the full-scale invasion. Our ports now handle more than half of the country's exports, — highlighted the regional leader.

Kiper also addressed the situation regarding the only inclusive beach in Ukraine located in Odesa. He stated that despite some controversies, the beach will definitely operate this season.

Yes, there were some disputes, but the beach will be open. If any issues arise — we will provide assistance, — added the head of the regional administration.

Let us remind you that Odesa is the only seaside resort in Ukraine where, under wartime conditions, the opportunity for beach recreation is gradually being restored by creating safe zones and shelters.
