Starting May 15, motorcycle patrols will resume operations on the streets of Odesa and Izmail. Police on motorcycles will once again participate in maintaining public order.
This news has been shared by the Patrol Police of Odesa region via their Telegram channel.
According to law enforcement, motorcycle patrols are more agile, allowing them to respond quickly to traffic accidents and apprehend offenders attempting to flee. Their ability to navigate through traffic jams significantly enhances police response times.
All motorcycle patrol officers are equipped with modern communication devices and personal protective gear, and they have undergone additional training in first aid.
It is worth noting that for over a month in Odesa, motorcycles and mopeds have been allowed to use lanes designated for public transport. Previously, this privilege was exclusive to cyclists.
