A delegation from Canada visited our unit in the Odesa region, including Duane Breight, a chemical and radiological protection expert, and Vitaliy Milentyev, a strategic advisor from Firefighter Aid Ukraine.
The guests explored our unit's operations, which focus on responding to emergencies related to chemical contamination. They toured our chemical-radiometric laboratory, examined modern equipment, protective suits, detection devices for harmful substances, breathing protection systems, and other essential tools used daily by Odesa's chemists.
The meeting concluded in a friendly atmosphere, discussing challenges faced by rescue chemists in Canada and Ukraine, sharing practical stories, and exchanging memorable gifts from our foreign colleagues.
We thank our Canadian friends for their visit, genuine interest, and openness to exchanging experiences!
