At the 11th Station of Great Fountain, efforts are underway to revamp the beach for individuals with disabilities.
The project is commissioned by the City Engineering Protection Department and Coastal Development of the Odessa City Council.
Currently, a metal framework and terrace boardwalks have been installed on the beach, along with safety fence elements; a metal ramp for easy access to the sea is being assembled and installed.
Reinforced concrete ramps and beach boards have been manufactured and delivered, along with fencing elements for the retaining wall.
Additionally, major repairs have been made to the sewage pumps and external sewage system, with renovations to changing rooms and showers, and the construction of reinforced concrete stairs leading to the beach area.
Renovation of restroom facilities for mobility-impaired groups, a medical post, and a storage/guard point is also ongoing.
Preparatory work is being done for the installation of fitness equipment.
For the safety of future beachgoers, a concrete shelter has been constructed and installed.
The completion of the inclusive beach renovation is planned for the end of June 2025.
