Odesa hosted a training session by the UNDP team focused on the implementation of infrastructure projects under the Emergency Credit Program for Ukraine's recovery.

Over two days, representatives from 15 communities across 6 regions will engage with UNDP experts to discuss key issues, receive guidance, and support for the effective execution of their projects.

The Mayor of Odesa, Gennadiy Trukhanov, welcomed all participants and expressed gratitude to the UNDP team for their ongoing support in project implementation.

"Our collaboration began in 2020, and we have demonstrated our capacity through the execution of 5 projects totaling over 276 million UAH. Currently, we are working on 7 new projects that we aim to complete by 2025," stated Gennadiy Trukhanov.

In Odesa, these projects include educational and healthcare facilities. The reconstruction of School No. 41 and the outpatient department of City Hospital No. 8 has been completed, with three more schools in the final stages of reconstruction.

Additionally, plans are underway for major repairs to two schools, a maternity hospital, and departments of the infectious diseases hospital and Hospital No. 1.

Project implementation is based on co-financing conditions, with local budgets contributing 20%.
