A memorial event was held at the square near the Odesa City Council to honor the soldiers who lost their lives in the war against Russia.

Families of the fallen, veterans, residents, and guests of the city gathered to pay their respects.

On August 23, hundreds of candles lit up the evening silence. Each candle represented a story of bravery and sacrifice. Together, they formed a map of Ukraine, reminding us that our nation stands strong because of the courage and dedication of its people.

«Every light in this evening event tells the story of a person who fought for Ukraine. It is our moral duty to remember those who will never return home and to ensure that their sacrifice was not in vain,» emphasized Pavlo Vugelman, Deputy Mayor of Odesa.

We extend our gratitude to the NGO «Vyshyvankovy Festival» for organizing the event, the Military Orchestra of the Odesa Military Academy, the families of the fallen soldiers, our military, and everyone who shared in this moment of remembrance.
