A significant break in a 1200 mm water main in Odesa has led to the suspension of some pump stations outside the city to drain the water supply system.
To reach the affected area and start repairs, nearly a day was spent constructing access roads and platforms for heavy machinery.
Heavy excavators weighing at least 18 tons are used on large-diameter mains, necessitating the creation of a special cushion from layers of concrete slabs and sand by the specialists of "Infoks Vodokanal". More than 150 tons of sand were used.
Currently, experts have excavated the site, reached the damaged area, and begun recovery operations.
Due to the lack of centralized water supply, technical water delivery has been organized.
On June 13, tank trucks with technical water will be stationed from 07:00 at the following addresses:

Drinking water kiosks operate from 6:00 AM.
According to preliminary estimates, recovery work will continue until 10:00 PM.
