Odesa's Mayor Gennady Trukhanov held a crucial meeting with leaders of key energy companies to discuss the city's preparedness for the upcoming winter.
According to reports, the preparations for the winter season are in the final stages. All heating plants are ready for operation, and final technical works are ongoing.
Currently, 11 cogeneration units have been installed, and their connection is in progress. By the end of the year, six additional units are expected to arrive as per the schedule agreed upon with international partners.
Educational and medical institutions have been provided with alternative energy sources.
DTEK has a stockpile of materials and a clear action plan in case of potential attacks on the energy infrastructure.
Representatives of «Odesagas» confirmed that there is enough gas for a stable heating season.
«We are facing another challenging winter. We all understand the conditions we will have to meet it. But we have already proven that we can endure!» - emphasized the mayor of Odesa.
The city authorities continue to work on strengthening Odesa's energy resilience and urge residents to support each other and be prepared to act collectively in the face of challenges.
