The newly opened cardiology and cardiac surgery department at city clinical hospital No. 11 in Odesa has treated nearly 1000 patients this year. Among them, over 600 received cardiological care, while 370 were treated in cardiac surgery.
The department has performed almost 900 surgical interventions, including 174 operations for patients suffering from acute myocardial infarction, using stenting and balloon angioplasty.
Additionally, vascular surgeries, thrombectomy for pulmonary artery embolism, and other critical interventions are conducted here.
As part of the state medical guarantees program, 293 planned coronary angiographies have been performed, with an additional 100 provided to Odesa residents under the city health program “Health.”
Patients receive free medical assistance and particularly note the comfortable conditions in the new department.
All accessibility requirements have been met: a new elevator has been installed, inclusive restrooms are provided, signs are in Braille, and there is a convenient ramp and tactile paving at the entrance.
The provision of high-quality cardiological and cardiac surgical care ensures the health and lives of patients with cardiovascular diseases. This is an important step for the advancement of medicine in Odesa.
