From April 14 to 16, 2025, the Odessa School of Arts No. 1 named after E. G. Gilels hosted the National Competition of Folk Instrument Performers titled «Rainbow Colors».
There were 111 talented participants, including children and youth from various artistic educational institutions in Ukraine: 77 soloists and 8 ensembles.
The diversity of participants was impressive: Odessa, Chornomorsk, Izmail, Tatarbunary, Pechenizhin (Ivano-Frankivsk region), Lokachi (Volyn region), Cherkasy, Horodnia (Chernihiv region), Chernihiv, Smila (Cherkasy region), Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Chernivtsi, Sloboda (Cherkasy region), Lutsk, and Kharkiv.
On April 16, a gala concert and an award ceremony for the winners of the «Rainbow Colors» competition took place.
The laureates received certificates and participated in the concert.
During the competition, a masterclass and chamber concert were held by People's Artist of Ukraine, Professor Volodymyr Anatoliyovych Murza from the Odessa National Music Academy named after A. V. Nezhdanova, along with a creative meeting with Nina Vasylivna Morozievich, honored figure of arts in Ukraine.
Additionally, a presentation on «Video Sequence in the Concert Performance of a Modern Guitarist as a Factor in Expanding Communicative Properties» was conducted by Doctor of Arts, Associate Professor Ivan Ivanovych Kosynets.
