From August 1 to 23, 2025, Edinburgh hosted one of the most prestigious music festivals in the world - the 75th anniversary Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

The Ukrainian Navy Band participated in this vibrant event, bringing forth the melody of freedom and strength from our nation in the heart of Scotland.

As the sounds of Ukrainian marches, folk melodies, and modern arrangements filled the air, the military musicians from Odesa showcased not only their high level of professionalism but also the indomitable spirit of a nation defending its homeland.

The audience greeted the Ukrainian ensemble with thunderous applause, and the blue and yellow colors became symbols of courage and hope on the grand stage in front of Edinburgh Castle.

The Ukrainian Navy Band emerged victorious at the festival, receiving the prestigious sword as the top honor.

On August 24, Ukraine's Independence Day, a unique event unfolded at Buckingham Palace. For the first time, the Ukrainian Navy Band performed alongside the Scottish Guard Band during the ceremonial changing of the guard.

As a sign of friendship and strong ties between Ukraine and Great Britain, the bands performed the globally renowned piece Stand By Me by Ben E. King. Thousands of spectators witnessed this touching symbol of support and unity.

The joint march from Wellington Barracks to Buckingham Palace, followed by their performance, became not only a part of the official ceremony but also a historic recognition of Ukraine on the world stage.

For Ukraine, this was not just a cultural event but also a diplomatic gesture: through music, we convey to the world the truth about our struggle and dignity.

The warrior-musicians once again proved that Ukrainian culture can speak a language understood by all - the language of the heart.
