In Berlin, Germany, the UNESCO conference focused on school management, Project Schools - 2024, took place.
Representing Odesa were students and teachers from the Odesa Lyceum "Maryinsky".
As part of the Ukrainian-German project for the recreation of children and teachers in the Ukrainian Network of Associated Schools of UNESCO, the Odesa lyceum students visited educational institutions in Berlin, exchanging experiences with peers from other countries and learning about the specifics of the German education system.
The conference attendees also had the opportunity to explore the history, culture, and architecture of Berlin, including visits to the East Side Gallery — a famous section of the Berlin Wall turned into a street exhibition, the Brandenburg Gate — a symbol of unity, Checkpoint Charlie — a reminder of the divided Berlin and the Cold War, and the New Museum showcasing artworks from various eras.
