The 25th anniversary of the advanced technology exhibition CEATEC-2024 took place in Chiba, Japan.

This year, Ukrainian companies are presenting their innovations for the second consecutive time at the largest international event in Asia.

The delegation from Odesa City Council, led by the director of the "Grant Office "Odesa 5T" Tamila Afanasieva, showcased a united stand dedicated to IT innovations.

The presentations featured developments from the IT cluster IT Family Odesa and the faculty of cybersecurity, software engineering, and computer science of the International Humanitarian University.

Additionally, the Odesa delegation participated in the 13th International Asia Smart City Conference held in the sister city of Yokohama.

The conference brought together key players in urban development and technological advancement.

During their visit to Japan, the Odesa team held protocol meetings with the mayor of Yokohama, city council leaders, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan.

They also engaged in working discussions with representatives from the Yokohama municipality, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the UN Development Programme office.

In collaboration with several Japanese technology companies such as Nippon Koei, JFE Engineering, and Sansei, they discussed priority infrastructure projects for Odesa.

Furthermore, talks were held with members of the National Commission of Japan for UNESCO, focusing on the shared experiences of Odesa and Japan in preserving and restoring cultural heritage sites.

Japanese representatives expressed solidarity with the people of Ukraine in their fight for freedom and a willingness to collaborate with the Odesa community.
