During a dispute at a gathering, one participant stabbed another with a knife.

This information was confirmed by the police.

The incident took place in June of last year. Investigators found that a 39-year-old man, living in a village within the Tairov community, had an argument with a 30-year-old acquaintance following a shared meal. During the conflict, the guest grabbed a knife and stabbed the host in the back.

Realizing what he had done, the assailant called the police and an ambulance. Upon arrival, medics confirmed the victim's death. According to the forensic examination, the cause of death was acute blood loss due to a stab wound to the chest.

The investigators detained the perpetrator in accordance with procedural law. Subsequently, the court chose to impose a preventive measure in the form of detention.

During the pre-trial investigation, supervised by the Chornomorsk District Prosecutor's Office, police gathered sufficient evidence of the suspect's criminal actions and charged him with murder, defined as the intentional unlawful causing of death to another person.

The indictment under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was submitted to the court. During the hearing, the accused admitted his guilt, blaming it on alcohol. Considering the materials presented and the sincere remorse shown by the defendant, the court found him guilty and sentenced him to eight years of imprisonment.
