The heating season is approaching in Odesa. The specialists of the municipal enterprise «Housing and Communal Services» are finishing preparations for the internal central heating systems.

Immediately after the end of the last heating season in the spring of 2024, the «Housing and Communal Services» started preparing the internal central heating systems for the new 2024-2025 season.

As part of the preparations, specialists are conducting repair and preventive maintenance works on heat-utilizing installations and internal systems, along with checking and calibrating energy consumption meters.

The staff of the «Housing and Communal Services» are also flushing equipment, heat-utilizing installations, pipelines, and heating systems, restoring thermal insulation, and checking and restoring (if necessary) the sealing of engineering inputs.

Experts have conducted hydraulic tests of the central heating systems and adjusted the heating systems to ensure uninterrupted operation in residential buildings.

After completing the repair work, the heating systems are filled with chemically purified water at a pressure exceeding the static by 0.5 kg/cm², and the inlet valves are closed.

With the start of the heating season, plumbers from the housing services will sequentially open the valves of the central heating systems in buildings, which usually takes some time, after which heat will flow into the homes of residents.
