In Odesa, law enforcement arrested a man who allegedly provided assistance to conscripts in obtaining documents for illegal emigration abroad for 15 thousand dollars.

This was reported by the Odesa police on February 13.

According to the investigation, a 37-year-old man promised his acquaintance a six-month deferment from military service due to health issues, allowing him to leave the country.

The Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Defense of the Southern Region added that false data was to be entered into the "Reserve+" and "Oberih" systems. The cost of this service was 15 thousand dollars.

The man was arrested while receiving the money. Investigators confiscated the stated funds, a mobile phone, a car, and documents from him. He has been charged under part 3 of article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which carries a penalty of up to nine years in prison and a prohibition from holding certain positions or engaging in specific activities for up to three years with confiscation of property.

The court has chosen a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention with the right to post bail of 908,400 hryvnias. As part of the proceedings, the police will identify individuals who used the services of the arrested man.
