In the Odesa district, law enforcement officers arrested an official who demanded a bribe of 10,000 hryvnias from the head of a homeowners' association for the improvement of the adjacent territory. The official threatened that without his assistance, no municipal enterprise would provide services to the association.
Investigators from police department No. 1 and SBU employees documented his criminal activities. The official offered to carry out the work without a contract, demanding money for his "services."
After receiving the bribe, the official was arrested, and a criminal proceeding was initiated under Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property. The court chose a preventive measure of custody.
