In the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi area, law enforcement arrested a city council official who accepted a bribe for document forgery.
For 400 euros, she promised to provide fake documents for pension eligibility. Investigators have already informed her of the charges. She now faces up to 10 years in prison.

It was established that a department head at the city council, upon learning that a local resident lacked sufficient work experience, offered to forge documents to help him receive a pension. She demanded 400 euros for this "service".

Law enforcement documented the official's illegal actions and arrested her after she received the second part of the bribe amounting to 10,200 hryvnias. The money was confiscated as evidence.

Investigators charged her with receiving illegal benefits related to the abuse of office.

According to the Criminal Code of Ukraine, this crime is punishable by imprisonment for up to 10 years, with a possible ban on holding certain positions for up to three years, along with property confiscation.

The court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention with the right to bail set at 120,000 hryvnias. The official has been suspended from her position.

The investigation is conducted by the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district police in cooperation with the SBU in the Odesa region.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
