A violent incident occurred in Odesa when one man stabbed another in the stomach and chest. He faces up to eight years in prison for his actions.

The event took place last week in the evening on 7-a Peresyp street, where the two men met by chance. A 42-year-old local resident, under the influence of alcohol, started a confrontation with his 27-year-old acquaintance, accusing him of not returning money for a purchased power bank. During the provoked altercation, the older man stabbed the younger one and fled the scene.

Passersby called for an ambulance for the injured man. Doctors quickly hospitalized him and notified the police. The victim is currently in the hospital suffering from knife wounds to his abdominal wall and chest, penetrating into the pleural cavity.

The victim was in critical condition and unable to inform the authorities about his assailant. However, police swiftly located the offender using a service dog, which picked up the trail and led them to the suspect.
