Rowers from Odesa achieved 6 medals at the Ukrainian championship.

From July 16 to 20, the personal Ukrainian championship in kayaking and canoeing was held in Uman (Cherkasy region), serving as a selection event for the world championship.

Albina Yakobchuk, a student of KDYUSSH No. 6, who is enhancing her skills at the Odesa Regional School of Higher Sports Mastery 'Olympian', secured 4 medals.

In the mixed fours event over 500 meters, she became the Ukrainian champion, finishing third in the 1000 meters (C-1), 500 meters (C-2), and 200 meters (C-2) events.

Vadim Boychuk, also from 'Olympian', earned a silver medal in the 1000 meters (K-2) and a bronze in the fours over 200 meters.

The athletes were coached by Oleg Zhylkin and Mykola Kravchuk.
