In Odessa, organizations are introducing adaptive sports for veterans. Approximately 200 training sessions are planned for 2024 with the participation of the disability sports club «Odesa-Basket».
Veterans have enthusiastically engaged in training sessions for sports billiards (97 sessions) and wheelchair basketball (35 sessions).
Additionally, there have been classes in golf, table tennis, boxing, diving, and kayaking. A new initiative to involve veterans in amputee football has also started.
Veterans from Odessa participated in the world billiards championship for athletes with disabilities in Los Angeles and national competitions in adaptive billiards and wheelchair basketball.
