Alexander Filatov, the First Deputy Mayor of Odessa, welcomed the participants of the 5th International Scientific and Practical Conference on Innovative Technologies in Urban Planning.

The event took place from October 24 to 26 at the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture.

In his opening speech, Filatov emphasized that since the onset of the armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the city authorities face urgent issues of restoring destroyed and damaged sites, many of which are architectural and historical landmarks.

«Equally important is the task of urban planning and developing urban planning documentation in light of what these areas should look like after the end of hostilities. Scientific contributions that incorporate professional experiences and innovative technologies are essential. I hope the conference will yield materials that will aid in the further recovery of our city and country,» he stressed.

The conference was organized by the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture with the support of various government agencies and international partners.
