Rehabilitation services for children under three from internally displaced families are provided free of charge.
Parents can choose from 128 medical facilities contracted with the NHIF to receive rehabilitation regardless of their place of residence.
Free Rehabilitation Services for IDP Children
Under the program “Medical Rehabilitation for Infants Born Prematurely or Sick During the First Three Years of Life,” the following free services are available:
• rehabilitation services at the child's place of residence;
• early intervention via telecommunications;
• assessment of child development in five domains;
• screening for autism spectrum disorders;
• consultations with other specialists;
• referrals to medical facilities for specialized assistance;
• selection of special equipment;
• assessment of the child's condition for transitioning to a new rehabilitation stage.
Parents can receive free psychological support and training.
How to Access Rehabilitation for Children Under Three
Parents need to:
- obtain an electronic referral from their family doctor;
- visit any medical facility offering the “Medical Rehabilitation for Infants” package. A referral is not needed when transferring between hospitals.

- call the NHIF contact center at 16-77;
- use the online map on the NHIF website.
