The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine warns about the risks of scams.

During the ongoing war, Telegram has become not only a news source but also a hub for fraudulent activities. Over 70% of Ukrainians contact the digital security hotline Nadiyno.org with inquiries about hacked Telegram accounts.

Scammers employ various phishing techniques, such as sending messages asking for monetary assistance or votes in contests.

Tips to protect your account:

- enable two-step verification;

- avoid suspicious links;

- check active sessions in Telegram settings and log out from unknown devices;

- restrict access to personal information;

- use strong passwords and two-factor authentication instead of SMS for logging in.

Review and adjust your Telegram settings now. Then take the test from the Nadiyno.org team to see if you can distinguish real messages from phishing traps — ne.nadiyno.org/telegram.
