As a result of a Russian attack in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, two deputy directors and a cafeteria staff member from the local school have lost their lives.

This was reported by the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa Regional State Administration.

“During the shelling of School No. 1, three dedicated employees lost their lives, who brought knowledge, care, and love to their work every day,” stated the regional administration.

Among the deceased was 51-year-old Aurika Melnyk, the deputy director of educational work, who had dedicated 30 years to the education sector. She is survived by her husband and children.

Aurika's colleagues noted that she was known for her strong character, spirit, and optimism throughout her life.

Additionally, 77-year-old Oleg Gerasymenko, the deputy director of economic work, died in the attack. He had previously participated in the cleanup following the Chernobyl disaster and had worked at the educational institution for the past 27 years.

Moreover, the attack claimed the life of 60-year-old cafeteria worker Vera Roshchyna. Her colleagues wrote that she would be remembered as a model of sincerity, activity, and joy for life.
