Recently, Odessa launched an initiative to mark routes for people with mobility challenges. The first informational signs have appeared in key areas distinguished by high pedestrian activity and essential social services.
The project "Barrier-Free Route" is actively ongoing.
Today, the second phase of marking began: volunteers from the "Barrier-Free Movement" placed special visual markers at public transport stops, in residential courtyards, and near important social facilities. These markers assist people with limited mobility in navigating their surroundings.
The initiative is being implemented with the support of Mayor Gennady Trukhanov and coordinated by the Barrier-Free Council, which includes specialists and representatives of civic organizations.
