On September 2, Leonid Viktorovich Liptuga passed away — a distinguished cultural worker of Ukraine, senior researcher at the Odessa Literary Museum, and creator of unique projects such as the «Garden of Sculptures» and the «Odessa Yard».
This was reported by the Department of International Cooperation, Culture and Marketing of the Odessa City Council.

The department noted that Leonid Liptuga dedicated his entire life, efforts, and creative energy to Odessa, its culture, history, the Literary Museum, and the city’s residents.

«His bright memory will forever remain in the hearts of relatives, friends, and colleagues. We express our heartfelt condolences to the director of the Odessa Literary Museum, Tetiana Liptuga, the director of the Department of International Cooperation, Culture and Marketing of the Odessa City Council, Ivan Liptuga, the museum staff, and all loved ones,» the statement reads.

Note: The “Garden of Sculptures” is an open-air exhibition established in 1995. Until 2014, a new sculpture was unveiled at each «Humorina». The “Odessa Yard” exhibition, which continues the “Garden of Sculptures”, recreates a typical Odessa yard with all its attributes.
