The 'House of Clown' theater in Odesa hosted a celebration for Alexey Agopyan's 65th birthday, gathering his loyal friends and admirers of Odesa humor.
Alexey Agopyan, a renowned actor and comedian, has played numerous roles in theater and television throughout his career. One of his most beloved characters is pilot Drinkins from the show 'Kalambur'. His creative journey spans over 45 years, starting from a theater studio at the Odesa Polytechnic Institute to his current role as Executive Director of the 'Comic Troupe “MASKS”'. Today, Alexey not only performs but also generously shares his knowledge with young comedians. At the celebration, his students surprised him with a performance of a scene from a new play.
The event was filled with jokes, gifts, and congratulations from around the globe. One of the celebrant's dreams came true right on stage.
“I want to thank Odesa for giving us such a wonderful city, unique and unmatched in the world. I am fortunate to have been born here,” Alexey expressed his gratitude.
In honor of his anniversary, celebrated on October 9, Alexey Agopyan was awarded the Honorary Certificate of the Odesa Mayor 'Gratitude' for outstanding contributions to the theatrical arts. The award was presented by Ivan Liptuga, the Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Culture, and Marketing, along with city council advisor Elena Pavlova.
“You are a true brand of Odesa. I wish you good health and many more creative achievements,” Ivan Liptuga congratulated the jubilarian.
