The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has announced new changes affecting the visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens.

Details: On April 3, it was revealed that the visa-free stay for Ukrainians in Georgia has been reduced from three years to one year.
"Ukrainian citizens have the right to enter Georgia without a visa and remain in the country for a full year", the document states.
Ukrainians who entered and stayed in Georgia before February 24, 2025, will have their stay extended until February 24, 2026.
Background: In February 2023, the Georgian authorities allowed Ukrainians to stay in the country without a visa for two years, and in April 2024, this was extended to three years.
