Police officers from the Odesa district have apprehended a 41-year-old resident of the Usatove community on suspicion of illegal drug sales. At the end of January this year, law enforcement documented the sale of amphetamines, which are restricted by law. The suspect was caught selling drugs on the street near his home. Investigators seized the psychotropic substance and confirmed its presence through an express test.

As material evidence, officers also found cash obtained from the drug sales, and during a search of his residence, another package containing an unknown substance, as well as equipment for packaging drugs. All seized substances have been sent for examination.

According to senior investigator Olena Ditsul, the suspect was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and has been informed of the suspicion of illegal acquisition, storage for sale, and illegal sale of psychotropic substances. Under Part 1 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the suspect faces a penalty of up to eight years in prison. During the investigation, the court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of custody with the right to post bail. The investigation is ongoing under the procedural guidance of the Bilayaivka District Prosecutor's Office. Individuals involved in drug trafficking are being identified.
