Municipal workers in the city are consistently engaged in addressing the aftermath of vandalism. Unknown individuals damage public property, including benches, bins, and deface walls in underground passages, as well as uproot flowers from flowerbeds.
Earlier this week, white paint was spilled on the walkways in the City Garden by unidentified vandals. Employees from the municipal enterprise "Miskzelentrest", together with their colleagues from the "Service Center", worked diligently to remove the paint from the tiled surface. Previously, "Miskzelentrest" reported the theft of 15 rose bushes from a flowerbed near the "Red Cross" stop.
Additionally, specialists from the "Odessa Electrotechnical Operation and Installation Company" recently dealt with vandalism in pedestrian crossings, where vandals have repeatedly defaced walls and damaged lighting fixtures.
In October this year, electricians from "Odessmisksvetlo" recorded an act of vandalism along the Health Route. Unknown individuals damaged equipment on ten poles, stealing automatic switches and terminal box covers, and also tore out cables. The company's specialists promptly restored the damaged equipment.
Moreover, employees of "City Roads" regularly clean graffiti from public transport stops and install new glass panels. Almost daily, vandals leave inscriptions, break benches, uproot bins along with concrete, and smash glass panels of stopping complexes. Stops also suffer damage due to traffic accidents.
The Odessa City Council appeals to residents and visitors to treat the community's property with care. Deliberate destruction and damage to city property entail criminal liability.
